Here's a fun way for you and your students to connect to readers around the world.
A BOOK MARKS Our World is a global bookmark exchange initiated by Margriet Ruurs. It all started when she saw children in Pakistan making bookmarks. Now the exchange includes hundreds of students in over 20 countries!
Simply send Margriet an email and tell her:
- how many students will be making bookmarks
- which grade/age are the students and
- where are you located
You will receive a contact elsewhere in the world. You will mail hand made bookmarks via regular mail and receive enough bookmarks back for each student. The only rules: bookmarks need to be handmade and have one sentence, in English and in any other language the student speaks, about their favorite book!
